My only complaint about the video was that Twilight's finisher didn't turn anypony into a cactus. That would have been hilarious.

In all fairness, Mortal Kombat wasn't bad, but its appeal was more in its cheesy B-movie nature and over-the-top violence than actually having good gameplay. I actually did a writeup about the games in my blog just yesterday—the link is in my signature.

Whatever the case, the brighter and more cartoony style seen in Fighting is Magic's apparently Mv C-inspired engine is a better fit for the ponies. I wonder if they're gonna come up with different color schemes though—when Twilight is pale-colored, I sometimes think she's Rarity. Not that it would make much difference in actual gameplay.

(Speaking of which, I wonder what Rarity's fighting style will be)

The "pale Twilight" is suppose to be her mom's color scheme. One of AJ's recolors is Granny Smith as well.

Some of Rarity's moves can be seen on their website. How does she launch you into the air? By smacking you with a giant roll of cloth◊.

Yeah, its that kind of game.

I love how Rarity is just lounging when she's in her crouching position.

If they can code a charge attack into the game, Rarity's should totally be sliding across the stage on her couch.

I hope they will include stuff from s2.

Well I'm all caught up on Fallout Equestria now, and I must say, for such an uplifting story it sure is depressing.

Why do the Castle Creator files have s1Haired!Luna?

I'm guessing Luna's new hairdo was something they decided on after Rarity's scene was cut. Hasbro probably decided to throw it in anyway since it was finished and OMGGIRLSLIKEPINKAMIRITE?!.

We already got Twilight with her pink-ish highlights, Fluttershy's pink mane and tail, Celestia has pink in hers too, oh and Pinkie Freaking Pie.
