I'm guessing a laker is...someone who...lakes?
Oh, no! They've all transformed into giant, Swedish, lederhosen-clad yodelers! Run!

@Ace: They're missing a bassist/lead guitar. (Not sure which one Rainbow Dash is. One of the two.)
And it's a lucky thing, because that sentimental stuff doesn't suit you at all.

@Applelight: The new one is a decent character design, but I prefer the first because he's cuter there. Of course, you'reprobably going to need lots of character designs, so no reason not to rcolour one and use both for different characters.
Alo, your ideas for his ponyality are not mutually exclusive.

@ Sereg
You think he should be a mixture of both personalities?
I've seen what appears to be leaks of the book itself on Derpibooru. (I'm not 100% sure, I'm only going by thumbnails.)

Bands seem to be a tradition of sorts. We had Nightshade in the first series, the Rockin' Beats in MLP Tales, Pinkie Pie and the Lady Bug Jamboree in G3, and the CMC performing in Fi M.

When I saw Fluttershy with a tambourine, this was the first thing I thought of.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

@Kyler: Kinda. A standard bass guitar has four strings, although there are other four-stringed non-bass instruments (ukelele, etc.) but none of them are easily confusable with a guitar. There are specialized basses with more than four strings though; so it's not always a sure thing. Another way to tell is to look at the tuning knobs; bass tuning knobs are almost always larger than the knobs on a guitar.

Another concept◊, testing out different body types. I may have went too far...and that mohawk...eurgh...
Self complaining aside, how's the body looking? Too much?

Speaking of music, has the season 3 ost been compiled yet? I haven't been on Equestria Daily for a few weeks so I might have missed it.

On the subjects of sports teams we have the LA Lakers. Is "Laker" even a real term?
Oooh, those L.A. Lakers!
Eternal rivals of the Utah Jazz!
Which is funny, because Utah has several lakes but hardly any jazz; and L.A. has no lakes but was once known for its jazz.
Even the coloring schemes of the Jazz and the Lakers clash.
However, the Lakers are somewhat of a Worthy Opponent; and are respected at the same time they are despised.

Too much? Feh, dude doesn't even look close to Roid Rage yet.

Possible big guy...one of those dwarf ponies...but a young 'beardling'.
I can't draw beards on them without making them look oldish atm. Which is bad, because no one on the crew is older than about 23. And at the moment, this guy looks like...40.

So, some people have gotten their hands on those FiM Mimoco flash drives, and they contained a preview for the first few pages of Under the Sparkling Sea, as well as some art from the middle of the book without any words on it.
Here's◊ those◊ pictures◊.
What's interesting is that Aquastria is not only home to Seaponies (similar to the ones from G1) and Mermares (more similar to classical hippocampi, sans hooves), but also a whole assortment of sapient fish and other sea life. King Leo is actually a giant lion-fish, rather than a seapony or a mermare.
