I prefer to imagine Mrs Pie saw that Pinkie needed to share her cheer with others and let her embark on her quest to bring her brand of :3 to everypony in Equestria.
@Applelight: Well not all Anabaptists (Amish, Mennonites, Hurrites) are that extreme. We can always say that Pinkie's family is based on one of the more liberal groups.
Or they're Amish-inspired, but not actually Amish.
And it's a lucky thing, because that sentimental stuff doesn't suit you at all.
I don't think Pinkie's family is that extreme. They're just farmers.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

She should get a towel.

I'm pretty sure the "Amishness" of Pinkie's family is pretty much entirely aesthetic. They don't really have any Amish traits beyond looking vaguely similar. Not to mention that they seemed to enjoy Pinkie's party, which kinda implies they didn't boot her out.
NO! IT'S IN MY HEAD AGAIN!
Finish her!

Oh, no! They've all transformed into giant, Swedish, lederhosen-clad yodelers! Run!
Can anyone recommend the Pony POV series? Haven't read it myself, but I've heard it's gotten good reviews. I think I've also heard somewhere that there's some crossover with G3 but I'm not sure. I'm a G3 fan so I hope it is.
"Welcome. You have entered the cranial vistas of psychogenesis. This is the place of no-time and no-space. Do not be afraid."
Slice of Life filler
I wonder why Pinkie's sisters are wearing ties. What have they been up to?
