@Applelight: Well not all Anabaptists (Amish, Mennonites, Hurrites) are that extreme. We can always say that Pinkie's family is based on one of the more liberal groups.

I'm pretty sure the "Amishness" of Pinkie's family is pretty much entirely aesthetic. They don't really have any Amish traits beyond looking vaguely similar. Not to mention that they seemed to enjoy Pinkie's party, which kinda implies they didn't boot her out.

Can anyone recommend the Pony POV series? Haven't read it myself, but I've heard it's gotten good reviews. I think I've also heard somewhere that there's some crossover with G3 but I'm not sure. I'm a G3 fan so I hope it is.

@darkabomination: I consider it worth reading. A lot of it is really emotional and good. There's quite a bit of variation thogh and the format is unusual which can cause some issues with making it through some parts, but overall it's worth the effort. All the generations are included (though only G4 gets a lot of screentime and G1 comes next. There is G3 in it, but it's complicated. What happened to G3 is a rather significant event that you only find out about later. Pinkie does remember G3, but she's the only mortal who does. She's technically the same pony as G3 Pinkie. Sort of. As I said, it's complicated.)

As you may have gathered from that, the metaphysics of the series are really Mind Screwey.

@Lopiny: Mostly discussing Pinkie's family. Also, darkabomination asked about the Pony POV Series.

Speaking of which, I just checked the page and wow am I behind! It's a pity that the Fi Mfiction version of the series is kept so far behind the deviantART version, because deviantART isn't always cooperative with me.

By the way, darkabomination, I should let you know that the series takes place over enormous amounts of time in multiple universes. It's really not a simple story. Of course, this results in a lot of cool stuff. Like A group of Bearers of the Elements of Harmony made entirely from AU versions of Applejack, fighting Super Powered Evil Side different AU Applejack.

All I know from the Pony POVD Series is what's around the trope pages. Which is actually a lot.
