One the "Food as weapons" Yet again, have to recommend Slice of Life (the fan fic one where Celestia goes on a diet.) Just for giving me my headcanon of how "war" works in Equestria. Back before Luna was banished, it was the real deal, fighting, killing, all that. But during her thousand years, the leaders of the nations, Pony, Zebra, Griffon etc... got together and worked things out, settling disputes peacefully, no longer going to war. And yet realizing that sometimes the young, or the hot headed could instigate some conflict just out a desire to fight, or to blow of steam. And so started arranging for occasional mock wars between nations, fought with water balloons, foam swords, pies, etc... till everypony smply forgot how bad war was, and saw that new way as simply how "war" naturally was.
