@Morning: I would dispute that, mainly because I wouldn't say that the elements force them to do anything. They get the elements they do because they already displayed those traits. I.e. AJ isn't honest because she got stuck with the element of honesty, she got the element of honesty because she was honest to start with. Getting the element didn't change her personality at all. In that specific Fridge Horror entry, I think they were missing the point. People don't call Fridge Brilliance that the element made the ponies do anything, they're just saying "Hey, that's the reason that that pony ended up being that element".

@Apple I don't follow the tumblr but an artist friend of mine on Google+ was raving about some shading tutorials someone named Braeburned made.

I just know the artist chick I follow on G+ was raving about his tutorials and posted some new pics she'd done using what she'd learned... and there was a definite improvement.

From what I can see the tutorial is fairly safe... but I'm at work so I cant look at the rest of the um.... stuff...

I'm gonna cut straight to the chase - he does a lot of explicit gay work, and not a lot of it is humanized. If that's not your schtick, stay with the tutorials. =)

PROTIP: Use a .JPN site/board and hosting to take advantage of doujinsoft laws if you want to make a pony fangame :V.

Looked up the safe stuff, and it seems the guy is a pretty good artist. But yeah, I can tell just from his common character selection which way he leans. Don't think I'm gonna risk turning the filters off.

Hosting it in another country won't protect you unless you're actually Japaneese. If you're American, they can get you, regardless of how you host it.
