@JT: Well, the Passlanders are still ponies. Thing is, I took both of our current artifacts as being based on something mental, in which case stories would fit quite well. Even if it's interpersonal though, I think The Infinite Chapter could fit - since it would contain the story of another person, allowing the reader to get to know them quite well(It's definition of 'story' being very loose).

@Mousa: Well there was some con drama that was cleared, some fan fic talk, and I started a character analysis blog thing.

Well the con drama isn't really over. It simply was prevented from going from problem, to full on crisis. there are still people stuck with hotel bills they weren't ready for, and VA's that got screwed on their fee. Though most seem to be accepting of it and none is holding the bronies as a whole accountable, just the con staff that fucked up.

The only issue is if this will make hasbro enact another can-ban...even though it didn't effect them in the slightest.

Another con-ban? You mean that sort of thing has happened before?

Not THIS particular thing, but for about three months hasbro refused to let any staff working for them, bar a few select ones with good agents, from attending pony-cons. Finally the staff and the con-runners worked something out with them. hopefully this doesn't hurt that, since unicon was the first con after the ban was lifted.

Hasbro owns the rights to MLP so if they decided not to let people have Cons they could. I couldn't see them doing it though ... the fandom would go nuts I think.

Umm, no they can't do shit to stop cons, at all. All they can do is not give permission for people working for them to attend it. meaning no VA/Writers/etc... Which again is unliekly given that it would not only piss of the fans, but the VA's et all to. Who love doing cons and faught to have the right to do it.

At worst, i'm thinking this will just screw over the newer, smaller cons that are trying to get started. making the staff more shy about going, or requiring higher prices up front. Odds of this effecting the big, proven cons like Bronycon and EVNW, fairly slim.

Helps that one of the groups the kept this from going totaly nuclear was the other con runners who were there that stepped in to help take over once the unicon staff bailed.

Speaking of, this makes me chuckle.

They've crossed over to our world to scam us.

They could say "We own MLP and all the imagery and ideas associated with it" and prevent people from using their characters in the Con. I'm pretty sure if they didn't want them they could Cease and Desist Cons if they wanted to.

Unlikely, but possible. I'd rather see a good original villain than They Saved Sombra's Horn.
