I really can't see Trixie accepting a role as Twilight's student because, well, she's Trixie.

Trixie strikes me as one who takes a more intuitive approach to magic.

I don't know where I'm getting that from, but that's the impression I get.

I'd say an Always a Bigger Fish moral, ie. don't be too reliant on your godlike powers because they might not always be good enough episde, but we've sort of already had that in the form of Magic Duel...

I would, however, like to see an episode about the responsibility of power - not the general 'use it for good' moral, but a more focused 'use it sparingly because we can't always predict the consequences of our actions' kind of thing.

In terms of what I expect to happen... the showmakers said something about a 'great feast', didn't they? As a thanksgiving analogue? Could have one of those episodes... might even be a decent episode for Applejack, though it seems like her standard, "I'm gonna totally overdo something again!" plot...

Maybe she could do the opposite - prove she's learned her lesson by trying to back off from it, letting her friends help her from the get go... but she keeps getting stressed and trying to delegate and being generally unsure, and the episode is about finding a balance and trusting in your helpers/friends. Have the done a 'trust your friends' episode yet in that sort of context? I'm not sure...

I don't think Applejack is ever going to be a very good delegation-person. Instead of actually assigning the task, she'll try to show someone how it's done... and then just keep on doing it herself.

Great...feast...episode? As in...lots of eats?

Does anyone here think that Gilda might return at somepoint, be it in the comics or in Season 4? We've allready had tons of popular antagonist's showing up again in the show and in the comics recently {Discord, Trixie and Chrysalis}. Not to mention how I'm curious to see what the writers would do with her if she did make another appearence.

They could do an episode where Applejack learns how to delegate, although it might be a bit similar to Applebuck Season.

That's really the main problem with AJ. Every lesson she could learn at this point is going to be "similar to Applebuck Season".

Not if it's similar to The Last Roundup.

Which is why they should something really different with her.

Honestly the only lessons that can come out of episodes about her, unless they do something completely off the wall so as to introduce a flaw that just never came up before, are lessons for her friends in dealing with her - ie. honest isn't the same as stupid(she proves she can, in fact, play very good pranks).

Although it would be interesting to see an episode that sometimes withholding certain information isn't the same as a lie, and can be for the better - that certain secrets need to be kept. Although heaven knows how they'd do that without veering into a Family-Unfriendly Aesop or territory too dark for the show.

...AJ should be the next one to get a crush. It's all I think of to shake things up.

She should have a sibling-relationship episode. Maybe Big Mac seems a little down, but won't say anything about it. Or she says something to Apple Bloom that she shouldn't have, and has to figure out how to apologize. I dunno.

Come to think of it, as of the season finale, we've pretty much abolished the idea of friendship reports. (Right?) Maybe we can have episodes that just explore a character without having to necessarily "fix" something about them.

So I had a day and some to think about the "Magical Mystery Cure" Episode

First... Rainbow Dash's destiny is to be a weather pony?

Second... I took away the thought that Starswirl used that spell... and screwed up some ponies... perhaps another group of bearers... but wasn't able to fix them?

Are the Mane 6 the first group to be bearers? Celestia was the only one to use them before that?
