Dunno if this is old news, but Under the Sparkling Sea now has an official description, which I don't recall seeing before:

The book is described as being for "Age Range: 1 - 6 years, " so I guess I'd better either find myself a de-aging spell, or cancel my pre-order.

That description isn't new new, but I don't know when's the last time its been updated.

Its sounding like its going to be a storybook with actual artwork and not the crappy copy & paste vector stock art. Which is a good thing. There's also that chapter book (also aimed at kids) that's coming out around the same time.

I still find it funny that despite the big emotional and hyped up episode featuring Twilight's ascension to Alicornhood, we're apparently getting months of comics & books of normal unicorn Twilight until Season 4 rolls around.

There's a Pinkie Pie chapter book also.

@ Apple's comic: The first two panels of the Captain dude looked pretty good, though his face seemed to...I dunno...smoosh? in the last two. It just kind of took on a different shape. I did chuckle at the "permission to wobble lip" gag XD Batty's face is kind of inconsistently shaped, but other than that it looks pretty good Apple, you're definitely improving You should probably consider making the panels bigger, though...it was kind of hard to read some of the text at the beginning.

and dont forget we ALSO have the Equestrian Guidebook coming out around then too.

I know that showed up in fancomics before, but I guess it's semicanon now.

At least Cupcakes was a funny black comedy, but this is just depressing scene after depressing scene that never let's up. I don't care how it ends, because all the sympathetic characters have been, or are probably going to end up dead.

So, the pony thread overtook the Touhou thread a long time ago. I've been wondering about other similarities the MLP fandom has to its seeming Japanese counterpart fandom. Is it big enough yet that there's a bunch of MLP fans out there that don't actually watch the show? That are in it simply for the fan-art, or the music, or the games?

I think I've actually noticed a few on my Internet travels. They don't really care about the show, but are in it for fan stuff.

Yeah, today or yesterday someone linked to fanart of "Magical Mystery Cure" on DA, and one of the comments below was, "Interesting. How did you come up with the concept of switching their cutie marks?"
