I really have no opinion. As long as they don't horribly disfigure the series, I won't be disappointed.

I just want them to go on for as long as they have good ideas.

So do I. The fandom shows that there is an Infinite number of plot possibilities. Well, obviously they can't go to certain places, but they do have a lot to work with.

I'm a darker and edgier kinda guy, but I know they'll never go quite as far as I want them to.

Before this episode aired, I was hoping that Fluttershy would switch places with Rainbow Dash. Switching places with the most extroverted pony in all of Equestria, though, was genius!

To be honest, I would be perfectly comfortable with the series ending now. Serialized works, when they are popular and successful, are constantly in danger of Seasonal Rot, and what starts as "exploring side characters" or "world building" can become "padding" if one isn't very careful. And, invariably, the final result is a Door Stopper for anyone who does not experience the work as it is released: it's hard for the resulting product to feel tight or well-paced. Then there are the day-to-day commercial and executive constrains.

There are plenty of examples of serialized works that have attained greatness in compiled form. My hope is that Friendship Is Magic becomes one of those.

I don't want it to die before we get sea ponies and a few foreign kingdoms.

Sea ponies, foreign lands, family questions answered, the CMC getting their C Ms, a pinkie pie weight gain plot, crush episode and Gilda. I won't be happy to see it go until we have these.

I am a little worried about the idea of two being better than her friends, but she did work hard for her achievements. And know knows...maybe they'll all ascend by the end.

I think Pokemon is a bad example, since it's gone on much longer than it really should have. You can see this with the Serial Escalation in the legendaries, and it's impossible to keep track of 600+ pokemon.

I don't see how anyone is "better" than anyone else. For one thing, Twilight knows and acknowledges that she wouldn't be where she is if not for her friends.

And another, being saddled with region-sized responsibility sure is an odd way of being better than someone else.

Those "Posts of the Day" are nice blasts from the past, but they're also kind of sad sometimes. So many of those posters are no longer with us.

Maybe Pokemon was a bad example.

I can't think of another example. Oh wait...Transformers!

Okay how would you rank the episodes of the season? Admittedly since I left my original paper from which I graded the episodes a few of these might be off but the general idea looks like from worst to best

- The Crystal Empire, Part 2 (Meghan Mc Carthy) (A-)

- Apple Family Reunion (Cindy Morrow) (A-)

- Keep Calm And Flutter On (Dave Polsky) (A-)

- The Crystal Empire, Part 1 (Meghan Mc Carthy) (A)

- Magical Mystery Cure (MA Larson) (A)

- Sleepless in Ponyville (Corey Powell) (A+)

Kinda sad that the third episode never got topped after so much promise, ...but on the bright side, ...the new writer really came in strong, ...and even the worst episode here was merely mediocre rather than bad (ala Morrow's "The Show Stoppers" or Savino's "Boast Busters") or outright unwatchable (William's "Mysterious Mare Do Well" and "Dragon Quest").

While it didn't start off on such a strong note as Season 2, it on average did turn out better and it ended on a better note than either season.

I don't think you could ask for a more humble princess than Twilight. I don't think she'll be very comfortable with being called "Princess" or "Princess Twilight".

Also, I'm already hearing rumors that she's going to continue living in Ponyville, so she can stay with her friends.
