I liked all the continuity, but this definitely wasn't an episode to show to a first-time viewer.

@ Apple: That sounds like a very good idea for a short fanfic. Maybe Fillydelphia's achievements are always just a little bit better than Cloudsdale's. That would certainly bug a super-competitive pony like Rainbow Dash.

You watch, "Celestia watches YouTube" will earn Memetic Mutation...if it hasn't already.

Dave Polsky and Merriwether Williams have certainly done a much better job than they did in previous seasons, haven't they? Props to them!

Oh, and I don't see Twilight accidentally switching the Cutie Marks on the Elements Of Harmony as an Idiot Ball. An IB is when a character does something uncharacteristically stupid to move the plot forward. But Twilight has been shown several times to be quite reckless with spells, and what happened in "Magical Mystery Cure" is simply no different.

That would depend on the needs of the plot. If they need her to come into conflict with somepony she could pull out her insufferable "I hate losing" quirk.
