Look, I admit that a High School AU isn't exactly my first choice of a spinoff (that would be Daring Do), but really, what do we have to lose? Either it sucks, but doesn't afect the show, so we were worying fo nothing, or it's actually good and we get even more cool content to watch and we were worrying for nothing.

EDIT:That it would be.

@Applelight: As the targt audience is still female, I'm going to guess no. It will still happen in the fanart, of course.

The show has to prove itself first before we can move on to such... speculations . San Diego Comic-Con will show us the awful or glorious truth.

I'm really quite amazed at this threads ability to just take this whole thing in stride and positively speculate about even the most hair-brained ideas.

We already have plenty of humanized R34. I can't imagine this will create much more then already exist.

I noticed that according the magazine scans, the new series would be coming this spring, but the Toy Fair Investor Relations Event reported that new brand won't be coming out until fall. I think something's off.

Well, this show has taught me personally that nomatter how bad seeming the idea is, it can still end up good.

That's why, despite my distaste for Alicorn!Twilight, I'm still certain that the show will pull it off well.

And as I said, the worst that can happen is it sucks and we ignore it. Really nothing worse than if they didn'tmake a spinoff in the first place. At best, it ends up really cool. As I said, that list of "rumours", while likely trolling didn't contain anything I actually disliked and I ctively liked most of it. The biggest thing I liked there (which would probably be the most controvertial) was saying that human!Discord would be a wacky yet kind Science teacher that Fluttershy has a crush on. My reaction was, "That would only make me like them even more!" ((Probably influenced by me being a scientist myself.)

A lot of ideas only sound bad, but then actually turn out rather good.
