What exactly are the chances that this will actually not involve high school at all? They don't specifically say it, but I'm having trouble coming up with. . .well, anything else that they would possibly do considering the demographic.

What the fuck is up with stairs in high school shows? My high school campus didn't have a second story for any of the various buildings. Funny enough, my elementary school did have a second story... Did I just grow up in a weird town?

My highschool had stairs. It consisted mostly of two floors.

Malaysian high schools have stairs aplenty.

My HS had lots and lots of stairwells... one of which we used to hide in during lunch and play Magic the Gathering.

Anyway, I do wish that the designs were a bit more like this, and I'm not a fan of the fact that they all have skirts, but: 1. we have no idea if this is finalized or just a piece of concept art 2. Of course it's going to look kinda stupid if we only see them in static poses. The only reason the pony generator ponies look bad is because there's a tight limited of poses to choose from. When they're in motion they might look better.

They just have that "Im a flash animated" look to em too.

I know the current series is Flash but.. it looks really good.

Well, geez, just because you become a human it doesn't mean you need to stop being great and powerful.

For some reason I imagine Big Mac as the cool bus driver. He doesn't say much, but he has a smile for everyone and the students like him. Snips and Snails are the luckless kids who always stumble into pranks, blow things up in Chemistry class, and generally screw things up. If the main cast were in their middle years of high school, then Spike's the energetic freshman who follows Twilight and usually ends up sitting next to her in class.

For the record, it'd make a great Running Gag if our favorite DJ manages to say snarky commentary over the PA at random moments.

Also, what would be a good substitute for Marks if the CMC were reimagined as middle schoolers?

High Schools that allow hats are also a strange concept to me.

@darkabomination: The closest human equivalent would be puberty, which for the CMC, being girls, would involve growing breasts and getting their periods. Whether or not the show writers would get away with talking about things like that on the show, I'm not sure.

The idea that the human versions literally are the ponies turned into humans makes things even more interesting, if they go with showing the characters reacting to and dealing with being turned into a species that they probably never knew existed. I also would wonder what kind of mission would require it, and how they would travel to the human world. Perhaps they have to find a pony or group of ponies who got lost there somehow, or it might involve fighting monsters and the ponies want to save the humans' world from the monsters?

I also wonder how much the creators know about the whole "Lyra likes humans" fan thing, and if they might do a reference to it.

First Discord gets reformed, then alicorn princess Twilight, now a human High School Alternate Universe. I could almost swear that someone at Hasbro has been reading MLP fanfics fishing for ideas.

Apparently, the story for 'Keep Calm and Flutter On' was submitted by a fan and rewritten for the screen, so...yeah I think that's the only one.
