Personally I'd favor an As Told by Gingeresk approach with a Ned's Declassified sense of lampshadeing and parody though not quite as over the top.
Yeah I kinda didn't want to bring the CMC as at least with the Marks it's somewhat less anvilicious about the maturity bit and at least gives a fantasy counterpart that's easier for the target audience to understand. If they were humans it'd just be way too transparent.

And "C&Ding the shit" is, well, just a stupid and asinine thing to say, seeing as how they have put out a grand total of, 2 C&D's against fan works since the show launched. Both of which have really strong arguments for, Legal made them do it because of the horrid mess that is US Trademark Law.

This worries me even more. It makes me think they're staffing the new project with their own talking heads instead of the studio that actually knows what the hell it's doing, and not even getting input from them.
