I've mentioned my opinion on this before, but in a mostly slice of life show like this I think I'd prefer the show to go on a season or two too long than have it end when the crew still had a good season still left in them. It's easy to ignore a bad season, but you'll never get to see those good episodes that never got made.

I'd prefer season 4 to be the last. I love the show, but quality that good just can't keep up with quantity. Maybe, wrap up G4 with a Big Damn Movie and end this generation on a high note. In terms of it's lifespan disregarding the fandom, I think it's reached a little over half it's shelflife. In either case, G5 will probably be out in five years.

On the Rumor thing, I think we basically agreed its possible (there are certainly some signs that point to it being a thing), but its still a rumor and should be treated as such.

Facts!

• Hasbro did announce they will launch a new My Little Pony franchise this year and the TV Movie will launch that. Its suppose to be marketed to teenage girls and up. More info at San Diego Comic Con.

• There exists a trademark Hasbro filed, "Equestria Girls", that lists "dolls & doll accessories".

Someone involved with Derpyhooves.com and the artist of Ask Surprise both claim its legit, so its not just some random guy on tumblr, and I'm not sure those two would actively troll bronies like this. Its still all "I know a guy" at this point as far as people "confirming" it.

I don't know, the Derpyhooves.com guy said its an Alternate Universe and won't affect the show, which would be win-win for fans. If it bombs, we still have ponies we're familiar with. If its a success, Hasbro makes more money and proves once again that My Little Pony can improve any genre...even if it means removing the ponies :P

That depends on what he's holding. The classic is Slowbro, but Gen2 introduced Slowking as well.

I'm on board as long as the quality is comparable to the show. It's made by the same people, and they've proven themselves good at handling characterization 95% of the time.
