So people apparently have a problem with all the girls wearing skirts in the Equestrian Girls thing that may or may not be real. Really? C'mon, even tomboys like Dash and AJ can wear skirts sometimes, it's just a piece of clothing not a political statement. It's certainly nice to see AJ in something that's not a boring generic sexy cowgirl outfit.

I'm not about to get militant about it, but putting them all in skirts is kind of uncreative.

Also, AJ in not-skirts =/= sexy cowgirl outfit. I dunno, maybe overalls or something?

Well, RD's presumably on the track team or something. Applejack's a farmgirl; doesn't mean she has a lot of athletic stuff to do at school. In any case, athletic girls are allowed to wear skirts too.

@Lurker: No reason for him not too really, he had won and that would serve to demonstrate that he could do whatever he wanted, including making his "friend" do whatever he wants.

Either way it just seems to me like the more likely event to have occurred given his previous activity, not what actually happened.

@Mio Except that was precisely the problem for him. Fluttershy was his friend at that point, and he wasn't willing to do that to a friend, hence the resolution of the episode.

I think if he had to brainwash her, he would have missed the feeling of friendship.

Real friends don't brainwash friends.

I guess I just did not buy into the whole friendship thing with Discord.

Discord seems like the kind of guy who likes an audience, at the very least. Someone to make his games 'personal'. Last time he was in town he picked up Twilight to be his observer. This time, Fluttershy presented herself as one. I doubt he'd have wanted to take away the observer's ability to observe. Sort of defeats the purpose.

So, I had a weird dream last night... Sombra returns to Ponyville, possessing some giant robot, but he really doesn't do much aside from cause a bit of token panic. Then he departs the robot and, eyes still glowing and thunder trailing off of him, goes into this Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends looking house where for some reason the Mane Six all live, and asks very politely(And with perfect diction no less) if they have any free rooms they can move into, and he promises not to be a bother.

And then the robot he was possessing re-activates and starts to cause some serious shit.

Add that to the list of dreams that should be fanfics.

I'd honestly just like to see Sombra return. The more I think about him the more I realize I really did like him, and the more disappointed I become that all his coolness was effectively post-mortem. Just think of what he could do if he was actually there in-person!

He let his last observer fall into control after she had been put through the ringer. I see no reason why he wouldn't allow the same with Fluttershy.

There have always been hints that Discord finds Fluttershy interesting, even from 'Return of Harmony'. Fluttershy is interesting; Flutterbitch isn't, especially since the girls can and will just tie her up, reverse the effect, and then statue Discord again.
