I tend to read the recap pages of This Very Wiki for this show So I knew about the What Could Had Been invoking Wildfire and Flowershine. What I din't know was why that didn't happen.

In hindsight it might make more sense if...

1) We assume Wild Fire (the character) is older than Princess Cadance, who was a teenager the first time we see Wild Fire as a grown adult.

2) We assume the Academy is for pegasi Rainbow Dash's age.

Not saying Wild Fire is really old or anything, just there might be an age limit to get into the Wonderbolts :P

Also, Wild Fire (with Lucky) appeared in the first issue of the comics, so its not like she's been exiled from canon.

@Apple: TOTALLY aside from the current line of convo, which I'm only vaguely aware of, but your love of Earth Ponies might lend you a bit of interest in a character in a story I'm planning: Roses-On-Saffron(He's foreign; different naming conventions), who's an Expy of Rostam, a famous persian hero who was so strong that he had to pray to god to make his legs weaker so he wouldn't bury himself in the ground with every step.

And of course, Roses-On-Saffron is an Earth Pony.

How do you link to a specific post? Kuroi just dropped a Not so Different Heel Realization on an entire subculture, and it needs to be preserved for posterity in MOFW.

A similar thing happened long before season 2 started, where someone described the plot of the premiere in detail, so people got excited about it.

I don't know about that, but there was one who got almost everything about Season 2 wrong (starting with the fact that they didn't know that Discord wasn't a pony)

Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

MandoPony doesn't really need to appear on the show to be an official character, since he's already getting a Lawyer-Friendly Cameo on the IDW Micro-Series Issue #2 variant cover that was drawn by Sibsy

Did I miss something, or has the planned encyclopedia disappeared? I searched Amazon under upcoming listings for My Little Pony and I don't see it in the listings anymore.

and Barnes & Noble

are listing it as coming out on June 4; Amazon appears to be saying that date but not using it (yet), but I'm guessing that's some kinda side effect of it having been listed as coming out on April 2 at first and then temporarily removed.

Actually, I do remember when the synopsis for "Return of Harmony" was revealed, some folks pointed out that someone on 4chan really did leak that the Season 2 villain was named Discord and everyone just ignored it cause its 4chan. The post wasn't a fully detailed thing, more like just an outline for the first part.

Discord's name really was genuinely leaked on 4chan...and no one cared or seemed to noticed. It was kinda funny.

The upcoming series manual? Its suppose to be, well, the manual for the show (at least for the first three seasons). Wonder if they'll release new additions as the show goes on.

Seemed eerily reminiscient of a toned-down version of the hysteria about Kardashian's fourth boyfriend, or whatever. More amusing than anything else.

If it had been about piracy, then yeah, that's among the less noteworthy observations I could imagine.
