Good night, sleep tight, and don't let the parasprites bite!
I think Over A Barrel might work, though there are few who'd agree with me.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
@Robo: Dragonshy is usually a pretty good one. I'd also suggest "Applebuck Season" and "Sonic Rainboom".
@Teeth: OMG! I forgot all about applebuck season! That was a great episode! I have to re-watch season 1 when I find time!
I liked the Battle of Appleloosa. Even if there was technically no fatalities.
Oh, except for a pony who got knocked through a building. I don't think you see her again after, so I just assumed she died in the battle.
I intend to destroy the molecular bonds that bind your very matter together, and reduce the resulting particulate chaos to tears.
I liked it, though I was constantly distracted by the thought that if this show wasn't so far down the idealism scale, there's no way in hell it would end well for anybody.

"Welcome. You have entered the cranial vistas of psychogenesis. This is the place of no-time and no-space. Do not be afraid."
Speaking of dying, was anyone actually surprised by the fact that Applejack's parents are (
very strongly implied to be)dead?

It is in the nature of the spiteful to spread animosity.
Eh, I started assuming that around the middle of Season 2. Apple Family Reunion just cemented that headcanon.
They both died in an industrial accident on the farm, where a automated system caught fire and they were trapped in the barn. Not a pleasant way to go. That's why AJ always uses manual methods. That, and the fact she's stronger than most machines.

@droy: Not really. A while before, some of the showrunners said they considered AJ's parents to be dead, and just didn't think they could say it outright in the show.
@dRoy:Not at all. That's been my assumption since I cared enough about the show to make assumptions on the matter (call it around 'Dragonshy').

Won't be online for a while due to the holidays. Stay safe, happy and warm!
I speculated that in the
first episode, because if they were alive, it would have been highly doubtful that they didn't show up while everyone else in the Apple family was introduced.

I liked that it was never really brought up. Asidefrom the fact that it's a touchy subject to bring up on a kids show, it gave me the impression that nothing had to be said because they'd dealt with it some time ago though it's sad sometimes for AJ to think about.
"Welcome. You have entered the cranial vistas of psychogenesis. This is the place of no-time and no-space. Do not be afraid."
Whatshis — you didn't think they'd think of that? The CAPITAL PUNISHMENT cannot be defeated so easily!
Lol, keep a text document of lower case letters to copy paste: problem solved.

Well they can't stop my Python script.

Here's a question: Where the hell are Scootaloo's parents? For that matter, where is the rest of her family? I hope their's an episode to put light on this question.
Scootaloo has been adopted by Dashie :V
Now, regarding Mane Six's parents:
Rarity, Pinkie, Twilight: Very much alive.
Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash: Very much unrevealed.
Applejack: Very much dead.
