Come to think of it, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Scootaloo...what's with prominent pegasi parents not being shown?

Sweetiebell? Do we even know if she has a family? It seems likely that Scoot's an orphan judging how much she gets picked on and seemingly to be very defensive which indicates low self-worth and thus little to no support system i.e. family.

Fluttershy's implied to originally be from Cloudsdale, so it makes sense her parents wouldn't show up. With RD, it's never implied, but just as likely that her parents live elsewhere. We have no clue whether she's a Ponyville native or not. As for Scootaloo, there just hasn't been any real reason to include them in the show. Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle only had parents shown because they have other relatives.

Uh, Sweetie's parents have been shown before. And Scootaloo hasn't really been teased any more than the other CMC have been.

We saw Rarity's parents and there are little evidences suggesting that they are not Sweetie Bell's as well.

Given that Sweetie Belle is confirmed as Rarity's sister, I'm pretty sure they have the same parents.

Well I could but I just don't feel like it anymore, since the thread isn't very active to begin with. It's too depressing.

I still think they could have replaced the Sweetie Belle asking Rarity to come camping scene in "Sleepless in Ponyville" with Scootaloo getting permission from whoever her legal guardians are, but its not a weaker episode because of it. In fact, its probably my favorite episode of the season so far.

Honestly I'm more surprised we haven't seen Pinkie's sisters since the flashback then any unrevealed parents. Seriously, they didn't attend her birthday party, they didn't go to the Sisterhooves Social, didn't join Pinkie in the most epic song about happiness ever... I guess they're still on the rock farm. At least there's a kids book about Pinkie and her family coming out sometime this year...

It's a pretty fancy resort, if a bit on the expensive side.

Yeah I don't really have any problem with having jumped into a sequel to something I don't plan on reading — it's decent at telling you what you need to know. The problem is that Sora's sister is annoying and it's taking forever to get off the ground. Like, half a year and half a Harry Potter book in and we're not even setting out to the on-world keyhole.
