I brought up the "Twilight needs to wave back to Lyra" thing in the spoiler thread. I think it would make a nice Book Ends - Twilight finally waves back at the nice stranger that just wanted to say ciao.

Lyra and a lot of other background ponies show up everywhere. Lyra actually held the record for a while for showing up in the most places, I'm pretty sure she's in every town shown in Season 1 except Manehatten, which was a flashback. She was even in Cloudsdale (the only non-pegasus outside the Mane Cast) in "Sonic Rainboom", I like to think she was there rooting for Derpy.

And speaking of background ponies, here, have some cider!

Cloudchaser is my favorite background pony. Beating on a cloud like she was beating on a rug sealed it for me. Then there's that mane.

"Spike, there appears to be a group threatening us...calling themselves the...Patriots?"

And favourite background pony is most likely Lyra. She's kinda insane, as far as I know.

How to choose?

Lyra's probably my second favourite. I love her colour scheme. She reminds me of mint. I hate mint, but it's a pretty colour.

I love Lyra's various expressions.

Lyra has always struck me as a slightly more subtle version of Pinkie. She's kinda manic and overenthusiastic, but not as random.

And she don't give a damn when Trixie is on the loose.

Lyra is buddies with Cadence too. She also lives in both Canterlot and Ponyville. At the same time.

And she's not mutated.

So, Pinkie without reality bending.

Appearing in multiple locations at once isn't reality bending?

So does Bon Bon. I think it's a pretty common power.
