I just had a thought, and I'm not sure if it's been brought up before (if it has, I haven't seen it)— now that Discord's been reformed, what does he do for the time being? Where does he live? How does he keep busy? And was that look from Celestia at the end because he's now going to be living in the castle with her and Luna?

On the topic of Discord, I think that this could explain what he's doing.

Doesn't this episode come chronologically before the Discord episode?

"Just for Sidekicks" is #8 in production order. "Keep Calm and Flutter On" is #11. But "Just for Sidekicks" happens at the same time as "Games Ponies Play", which is #12.

The series has never been big on maintaining a meaningful chronology.

I hate when shows do that, with a good reason or not.

There was a cool chart where some brony looked at the character development, callbacks, and season of the year to determine a plausible in-universe chronology for the season one episodes.

I don't think anything similar was done for season two, because there isn't as much information to work with in that season.

They probably intended to air the two episodes together from the beginning. Who knows why the production order was off, though.

Ah, here's that season one chronology.

What's a lemonade? Lemon + grenade?

It could be that they only decided to link the two episodes after production order had already been determined.

I thought the main reason people made such a big deal about trying to figure out the Season 1 chronology is that it makes no sense due to the WWU/FWF issue.

Well that film was typical Ardman awesomeness. grin

@ season 1 chronology

Has anyone ever managed season 2 yet?

Speaking of season 2, I want season 2 version of this.

I don't think there's as much info to work with for season 2. "Hearths Warming Eve" is in the winter, and "Luna Eclipsed" presumably falls on October 31, but I can't think of any reasons the rest of the episodes couldn't happen in production order.

I thought everyone said the CMC were basically ponified versions of the Powerpuff Girls? (I've never actually watched PPG.)

what.

You have to go fix this. Now. PPG is like one of the greatest cartoons ever.

Watching that film has made me realise...80s British punk songs go great with piracy.

I must punk up the boys! Oh and give them a trademark favourite food. Can't be ham though like in the film...what would a pony like I wonder?

@Meta: Seriously, you should watch it. It's pretty awesome. And you should hit up Tiny Toon Adventures if you haven't seen that; I loved that show.
