My Little Pony The Movie simply introduced a bunch of new characters without explaining what happened to Firefly, Applejack, Sundance, and other ponies from the first two TV specials.

Transformers The Movie flat out killed off every main character that wasn't Soundwave or Bumblebee simply to introduce the next toyline.

Sometimes, I really wonder about the way Hasbro thinks.

@Transformers movie: Yeah, that was an...... Intreasting film. Honestly, the only death that I still don't like to this day is Starscream's. I'll admit that he deserved it and it was a pretty cool scene, but he was one of my favorite decepticons when I was a kid. I've long gotten over his death and that of the other charectors, it's just I think that he was probably the funniest part of Transformers G1. I allways got a laugh out of his stupidity and his repeated failures. Still a kickass movie though.

Also, speaking of the Transformers movie, someone did a cool pony reenactment of the last scene in the film.
