Sadly, I highly doubt it. And I think my time wasting will just piss them off. I sent them an email explaining what happened. I'm expecting an angry response in about a day or two.

For the record, for any 40k fans here, it was an unopened Rogue Trader era Rhino APC, a model that they stopped making around about the turn of the century. Not only is it an awesome vintage model that goes back to the eighties...with the addition of some modern components, I could have had a fantastic and unique tank.

Ah well...I guess I should just keep looking.

That bites, Apple... but you never know, the person might be a bit more reasonable than you expect. I imagine they realize that this thing is gonna get sold pretty quick one way or another, so who knows.

Feeling you on the hobbies-falling-through thing today, though. My GM is sick so the pathfinder session I was going to is cancelled... and I have no idea what to do with my afternoon, now.

Only 50 Pounds? I've heard that some of those models can go for quite a bit more than that in the case of some of the more powerful ones.

And the Pathfinder thing isn't so bad, it's just getting shifted back a week. If anything it just gives me more time to hammer out all the details of my character before it gets started, which is sort of nice actually. And I imagine I can find some errands to fill up my time. Draw another blog update, finish the edits for my story... plenty to do. Just trying to figure out which thing, heh.

Well...the one I wanted was from 2ed (manufactured 1995). There's another one, unopened, from 1st ed (manufactured 1988) going for £139. So yeah, they get expensive.

You could call that an investment! They go in value after all! Unless you open it, like I planned to do.

I may have jumped the gun here. If they will wait, my pay pal account will have the funds, and then I could buy it no problem. I did send them an email saying that I don't have the funds and that I would have to cancel it though. I guess I'll just have to wait to see what they say.

Actually reminds me of the rare item market in Runescape. Theoretically, they can only go up in value, but they still had bubbles. I bought an Easter Egg at what turned out to be a temporary peak in teh market and ended up selling it at half the price I paid. At least my Santa Hat went up a lot in value.

That's entirely up to you. I'd assemble it (if I didn't suck at assembling things) and display it proudly.
