I don't think the parasprite parade has to do with magical music. More like they're physically attracted to melody, or somesuch. Seems like the simpler solution to me, but I'll admit it's mostly down to interpretation.

Bards are tier 3 where, exactly? There's lots of different bards in lots of different games.

That sounds kind of superfluous. Bats aren't even harmed by sunlight, anyway, they're known to occasionally hunt for food in the daytime.

Unless he was a vampire. But even that detail is kind of pushing the bounds of reasonableness.
