Merry Christmas, for those of you who live in the Eastern timezone. grin

I hope that this week's episode is not a Christmas themed one. I personally don't want another episode that makes me (figuratively) throw up. I guess since Christmas is past, I guess it would be closer to New Year's Eve.

Random questions.

What is the highest calibre offensive spell the effect of which we actually got to see? The one I can think of is whatever Twilight did to uproot the whole treehouse, but I am not sure if I should classify it as offensive.

Also, would it be possible to kill the Hydra with a minigun?

[up]You can kill a lot of things with a minigun.

True, but I doubt that you can kill any celestial creatures, like Ursa Minor.

Mundane magical fauna can be hurt with enuff dakka.

Only those that have nonstandard biology might have resistance to solid ammunition.

[up][up]Yeah, that's probably harder. A minigun that shoots comets, perhaps?

@ed - Hmm...that could do the job.

I wonder what it would take to kill any celestial creature, provided that they are not immortal at the first place.

Ace of Scarabs - I have a Sweetie Belle, actually, all three of the Cutie Mark Crusaders. They're part of one of the wedding sets, among others. I also have all three of their standee cards- I posted an image a while back, though I can post it again if anyone wants to see it without looking back.

I guess you could say I'm collecting, at least as far as the trading cards go. It's a win-win, because you can sell off the duplicates online, so it almost pays for itself.

A warehouse's worth of explosives, maybe? You'd probably level the town anyway.
Oh, the thread? Don't worry, it's just dead.

You'd need to do enough damage to overwhelm their damage resistance. That's gonna be a lot of dakka. Also dakka is useless on intangible enemies.

Seems to me you'd need something more creative than simply blasting with dakka.

Or maybe another starbeast, if things get too nasty.

Shining Armor tried shooting Cloud!Sombra with his horn laser with less than impressive results. A stiff breeze may have helped.

It can be zapped with lightening and it can drink from a non-magical gigantic improvised milk bottle (although magically levitated), I am guessing that it is not completely intangible.

You'd want specialist ammunition then.

I supposed if you figured out to use the FFV style Mage Knight magic blade effect on your boolet you could just shoot Flare or Holy bullets and overwhelm them with magic damage.

@Lopiny: At first I was confused, then I loled. The plot thickens, indeed.

@dRoy: The highest caliber offensive spell we've seen is what Chrysalis did to Celestia. We know that Celestia can move the Sun which makes that spell ridiculously powerful.

As for your hatred of Hearth's Warming Eve, well YMMV.

@Lopiny - I actually thought that she was saying that there would be some kind of epically awesome myth arc coming up. Then I lol'd, just like edvedd.

Hmm...would you be able to kill a celestial creature...with explosives that contains dead body that is blessed by a church?

This variant of a Friendship Cannon should work even on evil gods [lol]
