Being good at math doesn't mean that you enjoy it. Unless I'm some sort of strange anomaly.

Not to mention that she had been obsessively cramming for tests when she did that.

I dunno, maybe we might get a maths episode in the future :V

I'm expecting Pinkie to have reflexive maths skills for whatever reason because it's amusing :V

The only reason she wouldn't like math is if it interfered too much with her magic studies.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

We're talking about her doing math as a recreational activity, though, which even most people who "like" math don't do.

I wonder if math is required for any of her magic studies. Like if creating new spells requires mathematical formulas.

wild mass guess Math is a prerequisite to physics, which in turn is a prerequisite to mastering certain types of magic (after all, telekinesis is merely an application of forces).
"I've come to the conclusion that this is a very stupid idea."

It depends on whether spell development is derived from a calculated combination of magical forces, or developing the correct mental process to will the magic to create the desired effect.

Well magic seems to be sufficiently analyzed, so she probably uses math a lot.

Oh sweet Celestia math.[tdown] And, of course, Colin loves to talk circles about his math skills.
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

Math for magic. interesting subject. As for twilight not wanting to study math, she seem like the type to do so for everything (Including sleepovers) And considering how libraries are supposed to have books for every subject. Yeah i think Twilight does math from time to time.

As a precedent Fullmetal Alchemsit seems to use some physics (and Instant Runes and circles) for alchemy and the math and physics goes hand in hand.

BTW what else did I miss?

Why do people hate math? sad

Because they have a hard time getting why math beyond algebra is important to them.

I'm watching Wonderbolt Academy again. Did anyone else notice all the 'cloud houses' around the place? Either those are the dorms, or little Pegasi housing estates are common in heavily clouded areas.

Spellcasters could sure stand to use maths to make their spells more accurate/intelligent :V

At least it'd make things like detection spells more precise.

We never need cloud dorms. When can just move our homes there.tongue

But... math is everything and everywhere. I don't need a PhD to understand and appreciate that.

But enough about that, lest I find myself atop a soapbox.

Ewww, math.tongue

And here's another Crack pairing for you all. Not as funny as Fluttershy/Chrysailis or Tom/Bloomberg, but still weird and amusing.

Just finished watching Wonderbolt Academy. It is a great episode. I'd use it to recruit new bronies (after using some other RD episodes first).

And I actually hope that Dust doesn't reappear too soon now. Because I want to use her in the webcomic...after her hopes of dreams lay shattered, she does the only thing she has left to do...become a pirate. tongue

I'd have pegged her for going to Los Pegasus and becoming a show racer, or joining a Shadowbolts-style PMC.

That's what she'd become after being kicked out of the PMC for not following protocol.

@ Morning

Actually funnily enough...she probably would! A pirate crew is still a team after all...and she sucks at team work. Captain would probably have her flogged more often than not.

In fact I see her beoming a bounty hunter of questionable nature, bitter after several failed careers.
