And yeah, I can see where people were upset with Spitfire not knowing what had happened, but she was in the middle of paperwork and the exercise was still going on; it's not like she was in the area or had any reason to expect that a cadet would be endangering civilians.

Well, that's 'Academy' wrapped up; good episode, though I guess Spitfire takes the "in uniform means on duty" attitude. Lightning Dust was sent packing pretty quickly, I have to say.

Reckless endangerment really should not get you any cookie points from the academy, anyway. And it doesn't, evidently.

Lightning Dust will probably reappear somewhere.

Moving on to 'Apple Family Reunion' and I already have stuff to say!

One hundred moons is about eight years, looks like; that might be useful later in seeing how old Applebloom is. It does, however, raise some questions about Baby Applejack in the preview clip... well, it won't be a problem as long as that was two reunions ago.

Also, a widespread Apple family tree has been even more confirmed than it was before. Interesting that the reunions are hosted at Sweet Apple Acres, unless Granny Smith is the matriarch of the entire clan and the Acres are the Apple clan's taproot?

It is still the same VA, though; the only time Spitfire wasn't voiced by Kelly Metzger has been "Sonic Rainboom" (where it was Nicole Oliver).

^That's weird... she doesn't sound the same at all in 'Best Night Ever'.

Okay, well, Granny is the same age as Great-Great-Aunt Applesauce... huh. That kind of implies that 'Granny' is really more of an affectionate name than an actual indication of her relationship with Applejack and her siblings, which makes sense.

Also, sewing machines are canon, as are Apple ponies with cutie marks unrelated to apples.

Okay, baby Applejack was old enough to talk and answer questions... say three at minimum? Could be two reunions ago, too.

Come to think of it, might that mean that Carrot Top is part of the extended Apple Family?

I mean, not saying that's definitely the case, but it opens up the possibility. We do have the Oranges in Manehatten, after all.

...wait, Applebloom has been in a reunion before. I guess that does put Applejack's age somewhere around twenty, and Applebloom's at... maybe 13? She looks pretty non-weird-baby-pony in that photo.

Guys, I've lost control of my life.

Oh, and there are the controversial shooting stars... yeah, that's pretty clear-cut, at least in my eyes. Applejack does immediately go to ponies being busy, but she's a pragmatic and practical soul; she's not the type to mope.

Also, I forgot that there was a discussion I wanted to chime in on. Moon refers to month. Lunar cycles are caused by the difference between the length of a day and the the amount of time for the moon to orbit Earth. But in Equestria, those times are identical, so they have no phases of the moon and no lunar cycle (which actually makes it surprising that they even have a concept of a month or a week, but the show is full of stuff like that, so yeah).

The Fruit and Veggie family trees are extensive.

That I can agree with. Makes her about 18 at the start of the series.
