Why, is it 4 o'clock in the morning?
Lunar cycles are caused by the difference between the length of a day and the the amount of time for the moon to orbit Earth. But in Equestria, those times are identical, so they have no phases of the moon and no lunar cycle (which actually makes it surprising that they even have a concept of a month or a week, but the show is full of stuff like that, so yeah).
I could argue that Luna could easily change the phases of the moon each night...
Except every time we see the moon in the show, the damn thing looks exactly the same. So you may have a bit of a point there.
