Honestly, the first two seasons being 26 episodes is kinda an anomaly among animated shows, and probably a result of The Hub being a brand new network in desperate need of programming. Thinking that a normal, 13-episode season is "short changing" you is just being spoiled by the first two.

I'd say that while more episodes would be nice, the people working on the show were apparently overworked, and I'd rather not have that happen again.

That wasn't even a leaked financial report. It was a public report for the shareholders/potential investors, and it explicitly mentioned a fourth season.

Changing subjects, and this has nothing to do with how long Fi M lasts.
Does anyone else pity the next crew that ends up making the G4.5 or G5 cartoon at some point in the future? I mean, the bronies will be putting that show under a lot of scrutiny.

@Suland: It will be a very, very tough act to follow, but as long as Hasbro puts quality first when getting studios to make more pony I say the haters can be safely ignored.

I'd always prefer more episodes of course, but word is that back when the show had 26 per season the staff was heavily overworked. I'm all for a smaller schedule if that's what they need to improve their working conditions.
The worst thing that could possibly happen to the show is for the creators to start hating it.

I see no reason why they would move away from DHX, anyway. They're sure to hire back most of the old writers, too, regardless of the animation studio (and there are plenty of great studios out there). Of course, people will still complain about differences, same as they're complaining about differences between seasons.
