Something that I always wonder is why the show's "scale" is always limited to all of Equestria. Are the writers going to extend the threats of the villains to the ENTIRE WORLD, and make Rainbow Dash say she's the best flyer in the ENTIRE WORLD instead of just all of Equestria.

The closest thing we got to a worldwide threat was an implied one with Nightmare Moon's threat of eternal night, and with the way the show works, temperatures didn't decrease as rapidly as they could have in the real world. And even then, Nightmare Moon only said "all of Equestria" instead of "the entire world".

Well, even IF NNM succeeded in shrouding Equestria in darkness, that would just mean that the sun was permanaently up on the other side of the world. Which is arguably worse, but hey. Still remains her plot didn't directly threaten the whole world.

@Meta: Fluttershy stumbles across the Goth Culture and becomes enamoured by it. Her friends all think this is really creepy and weird, and assume that she must have a whole bunch of problems they don't know about... but as they dig deeper it turns out no, she was always like that, she just hadn't ever found an outlet(Imagine them running across a journal detailing a dissection she had performed). Truns out sometimes people just like stuff.

@ Kegi: You'd think that but magic. I find it more likely Nightmare Moon would make it night everywhere.

That reminds me. While I was reading about D&D, I came across Pelor The burning Hate. It reminded me a lot of Tyrantlestia.

[up][up]She did say all of Equestria.

Well, something tells me that the Equestrian general public has very little knowledge of the outside world, or the outside world is so dangerous not even Discord speaks of it.

Back from the mess hall. Miss anything?
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

[up][up]Equestria is too big to be located on Earth. The Map isn't drawn to scale, but it's still too big to be located on Earth.

That's another thing the writers need to take care of: the planet on which Equestria exists.

@Waxing: We know for a fact that the ponies are aware of other nations outside of Equestria. The griffons, dragons, and zebras must all have their own nations, and Saddle Arabia and the Crystal Empire aren't part of Equestria. Outside of Equestria there are just other nations. It's just that it doesn't come up much in the show because the mane cast don't have much occasion to interact with outsiders.

[up][up]Maybe when the Mane Six inevitably starts traveling outside of Equestria, the scale will shift from "all of Equestria" to "the ENTIRE WORLD".

Once we have a proper world map, we can finally get started on Friendship is Magic: the RPG.

Well, if you look at the map, you know that griffons live in the east and dragons in the south east.

Say, Orion.

Sorry if you've already answered this, but what are you doing at the Wonderbolts Camp anyways? I never thought you were big into stunt flying. OR that much flying at all, really, considering you bunk on the ground with a human.

[up][up][up]Nope, I just only come here rarely, since this thread usually moves too fast for my tastes.

I'm still hoping for a threat to the entire world on which Equestria rests, and after that, a threat to the entire galaxy, and after that, a threat to the entire universe. Thinking with that sort of scale would be cool for the franchise.

Episodes 1&2: The mane 6 save the universe from an evil nebula. Yes, the whole freaking nebula is sentient and wants to destroy the universe.

Episode 3: Pinkie Pie is having a freakout because someone is having a bad day and will not go to space today and she can't get them to cheer up.

Yeah... no. Too much Mood Whiplash.

Personally, I think Serial Escalation is a terrible thing. It's like what Yahtzee said about Super Mario Galaxy and Arkham City.

Hoo boy. Next chapter of Fallout: Equestria is 37, which means the reeeeeeeally long one. I'm not sure when or how to tackle that thing.
Fanfiction I hate.
