I hate any shipping between young characters and older characters. Such as Rarity/Spike.

@Ginger: I took one look at this little piece of Accidental Nightmare Fuel.

• Most of them: OK
• Rarity/Big Mac: Have they even appeared on screen together?
• Twilight/Celestia: No
• Applejack/Big Mac: HELL no
• Luna/Celestia: What

I'm not one for shipping, or fanfics in general.

I'm surprised how rare Rari Shy is. Considering how close they are.

Given their relationship as depicted in the show, it would be rather like shipping Twilight with her own mother. Just because they're not biologically related doesn't magically make it not creepy.

It just got about sixty percent creepier; I hadn't even considered the teacher/student angle. Now I'd like to place an order for Brain Bleach.

I admit I'd probably like Twi-celestia shipping in a "Twilight is an obsessed fangirl" sort of way.

I can handle almost anything as long as it's frikkin' hilarious, including shippping.

Like this one fic I stumbled upon that ended up being a Twilight And Celestia fic in the end, but the build up of Twilight accidentally sending her rather.... graphic journal to Celestia was absolutely hilarious.

I'm not a big fan of Twilight/Celestia at all. It is just kind of creepy... Celestia's a lovely person, but she's an immortal god-empress - and, much more importantly, a parental figure for Twilight. That relationship shouldn't be corrupted.

^I've read that, I think. There was another one, of similar idea, where Twilight accidentally sends Celestia Fluttershy's fiction journal. Her self-insert fiction journal starring her and her friends.

Yeah, it depends whether it's played for comedy or drama. Comedy, just about any non-horrible-squick pairing is fair game.

For some reason I think Twilight/Pinkie would be cute because of the contrasts in their personalities.

Okay, I will admit to what I did before—Pinkie/Blueblood would be funny.

I don't terribly care for Scratch/Octavia, I'll admit.

I actually like them better as just friends than as a couple. In my headcanon they ended up as roommates when they went to study music and they were friends after that.

Scratch and 'Tavi work well as rivals-turned friends.

Could it be that the Official Royal Canterlot Voice is loud enough to blow your eardrums out of you're standing too close because in the long-ago days before the first Nightmare Moon incident, they never speak to their subjects from up close?

At best, maybe they'd have a personal servant, or something, but normally they have to shout stuff from a couple yards away.

Derpy gets shipped with Carrot Top on occasion, and I know there some stallion that's relatively popular as Dinky's father, but I can't think of who it was.

The "Ask a pony" blogs say it's Pokey Peirce.

So, knowing what we do now of Luna's personality, I'm wondering which Princess had which of the Elements when they fought Discord, assuming that each one had three of the Elements.

On a similar note, I kind of want to see a fanfic of 1000 years ago, when Luna turned, knowing what we do now about her personality. In general, I think that the kind of fanfics I enjoy most are sort of "novelization" fanfics. Ones that simply take what we know of canon and expand/explain events that we don't directly see. Rather than new stories entirely. Though, new stories can be great. Those are just the kind of fanfics I could see myself writing.
