What's with the lack of Derpy this season? She use to get cameos in season 2, but as of now I can only think of one time that I actually saw her {A very small crowd shot at the end of Magic Duel}.

I'm guessing the studio is phasing her out since she caused a big controversy they didn't really understand last season. It's understandable, though somewhat sad.

She'll probably show up occasionally as a background pony but I expect her days of scripted background events are over.

Quite a few people care.

yeah them phasing out Derpy realy hurts a lot of people it's just plain not right, at all. At least she's still everywhere in the marketing and merchandise.

I'm not sure why they made so many changes to Spitfire since her appearance in the first season premiere. If they were going to make those changes, why not simply make her a new character instead?

As for Derpy, the crew said the controversy didn't affect their imput and she'll still have at least one cameo per episode. But I think they're needlessly skirting around that by phasing her out, which means they're about to go against their word.

Eh, I wouldn't bet an eye if she got nuked altogether. She would forever live on in the fandom, after all. If anything, if she really does get nuked, she will even (somehow) get an martyr status.
