@Seraphem So Adventure Time have no continuity?

I think she fit show perfectly. Yes she add little cynicism and bitterness but it's not ultra saccharine show so that was is required. It's not like she make it Fallout Equestria. And just like Adventure Time all that cynicism and bitterness still don't take way idealism from story.

@Seraphem: I honestly didn't think RD was that bad in HWE. Also, one minor thing regarding the new episode: I actually thought that the way she handled RD was one of the best parts.

THAT bad, on it's own no, but taken with what she did to her in MMSW, just shows a trend, that I'm happy seems to have been broken with this ep.

BTW (and I'm not lying here) for all who didn't watched this episode This is Raibow Dash episode written by Williams, and feature jerkass pegasus mare who is one best flyer but to prove that can risk safety of others and dont care about consequences

As long as we don't end up as a main character, we'll be fine. The side characters are perfectly fine.

Williams is't the best at writing RD, but her version of Pinkie is my favourite.

Still, I actualy liked Putting your Hoof Down a lot and I absolutely loved Hearth's Warming Eve. I even consider MMDW underrated (I have a hypothesis as to why). Dragon Quest was... A Waste Of A Good Plot, but it still had good parts.

I didn't even know Merriweather wrote those, I put those under my "Average but enjoyable" and "Average but not that great" categories.

Yeah, I really don't understand this argument. A cynical work wouldn't end with a jolly Christmas carol.

I was looking through the Character pages for One Shots, and I noticed the entries have some tropes hidden. Why is that? I haven't checked if any of the other Character pages are like this, but I thought I would ask before changing them.

One Bad Apple was punny.

I think that if MMDW didn't exist, people wouldn't have the exaggerated issues with the rest of her episodes that they do. HWE really didn't have anything wrong with it from a character standpoint. Dragon Quest isn't cynical in the least, outside of demonstrating that groups of teenagers that like to party and roughhouse all the time are kinda jerks, which is very true. PYHD only had about four ponies who were actively mean to Fluttershy, the rest were either clueless or in the wrong place at the wrong time. People just seem to be looking for things to hate about the writer.

There has been a distinct lack of pun recently.

I think hat MMDW is hated more than it should be because of A: Positioning relative to other episodes

B: Resulting in 3 loud opposing factions in the fandom: Dash-haters who used the episode as an excuse to hate her, Dash-fans who decided that she was out of character in the episode and blamed Williams and Dash-fans who decided to agree with Dash in the episode and villify the other five.

EDIT:Ooooh! That would have been way better! (Seriously, how much more uninspired coud that title have been.)

MMDW-we all know the issues people have with that one

HWE-AWESOME! though I do think she kind of messed up some of the Mane 6 backstage stuff, not bad, but this is the type of episode her style is better at, no established characters or settings, and a good reason for the cynicism and meanness

DQ-Could be better, lots of potential, but just meh-average

PYHD-Way way WAY overdid the jerkass and cynicism to fit her plot. Really the biggest saving grace for this ep that boosts it so high for me is Iron Will

your forgetting the ones like me that simply feel the whole thing and the setting itself simply FELT OOC and not like what we've gotten used to. My issue is how much she just altered the setting to fit her story

And I agree with Lurker, having the flop that is MMDW be her first ep did kind of just put a bad taste in peoples mouths and make them be more critical of her.
