Never mind. It was really just a gag over the comments for this episode.

For RD however, she got a lot of flak for early season two from what I remember.

True, all her 'flawed' roles were piled into one. Looks like we're now getting all her 'nice' ones somewhat neatly together abiding by late S2/early S3.

All of the characters have there ups and downs over the course of the show, of which I may only occasionally fault them for.

Honestly, I can't say I like any of the Mane Six more than the other, and there flaws are all apparent so I can't fault one over any of the others.

Rarity's only been kinda out for one episode. There's no trend there.

RD was a little different. She had two questionable episodes in a row (there was a bit of controversy surrounding her treatment of the pets in MTBPW and then there's MMDW), and didn't get an episode that was fully positive until late in the season.

I admit I wasn't bothered by it anyway, given Sweetie blatantly guilt tripped her, I thought it was amusingly karmic.

She almost was when Trixie came along however, she may still be suffering trauma from it.

I found MTBPW and Luna Eclipsed to be perfectly in line with RD's Season 1 characterization, honestly. It was just MMDW that set people off and looking for excuses.

You know, as much as their was a backlash to Rainbow Dash in season 2 I honestly liked her better after season 2, even considering MMDW.

Honestly, over the course of the series all I can see is improvement with maybe a few slip ups.

Namely, Fluttershy in Magic Duel. I feel like they went 50 steps back with her on that.

I admit for all her abrasiveness, they did give her a lot of pathos. Same for Twilight's S2 episodes. A couple big "loser" roles can give a lot of humanization to a character. I think the problem for RD was there wasn't some "winner" ones to balance it out until much later.

I didn't think that was that bad. I thought her beating up RD just for making an unaggressive argument (for once) in "Dragon Quest" was a bigger slip up, but even then, they remedied it with a nice episode revolved around the two straight afterwards. Awww, I can't stay mad at her.
