All I can say is if Hurricane Fluttershy didn't save Rainbow Dash's characters in the eyes fans, this one definitely did.

So, Luna can dream walk (Luna is watching you sleep.) and tons of scootalove from Rainbow? YES!

Scoot really can't fly it seems. Family is still MIA too. Rainbow has now kind of become her big sister though. :3

Putting Luna in the episode was genius.

It appears that this season gives whoever has a supporting role a VERY flanderized characterization!

Speaking of which, I don't think it was ever thought that Scootaloo of all ponies would be mentored by Luna.

@Enlong: Luna's the younger sister, remember? It only makes sense that she wouldn't have explored her untapped potential before the Nightmare Moon incident.

@Shota: I noticed. Not my favorite development, but she made up for it by the end.

Also...RD can cut through multiple tree trunks at once! We sure she's not the strongest pony?

But this episode, wow, I'm going to have to re watch it asap.

@JT: Pretty sure clopfic writers didn't wait for this episode to do the Luna showing up in dreams plot. Course this just means we'll bet getting a hell of a lot more of them.

And yes, Luna trolling Celestia's dreams is the best idea.

We've seen her hover, and seen her wings produce lots of force. She's just not in practice. RD is giving her some training, it seems.

They seem to be trying a little too hard with some of the fanservice this season.

That being said, I still liked this episode. Also, let me lay down a theory I have:

There was a teddy bear in Dash and Scoot's tent. Now, would Scootaloo, who's trying desperately to seem cool for Rainbow Dash, bring a stuffed animal along? That means the bear was probably Rainbow Dash's. We can also logically conclude that his name is Captain Thunder-Bear and he is Rainbow Dash's spirit animal.

@Shota: Yeah, like I said, that's my one gripe here. Rarity is flanderized to hell and back, with almost none of the character's usual nuances. Seriously, compare her in this episode to say, Sisterhooves Social, where her issues were far more evenly handled. Really, I kinda think this episode would have been better if it had been just the Apple family and Rainbow and Scoots. As is they kinda had Rarity and Sweetie Belle hanging around without either of them really doing much.

Also, my theory about Luna is this: When ponies dream, the dreams sort of take place in the same "space". They aren't necessarily connected to each other, but Luna can wander in and out of them at will. She realized that Scoots was in the midst of a nightmare, so she started to pay special attention to her.

@42: These episodes get submitted for approval pretty early, so it can't really be just fanservice.
