@ Story: I don't get why you don't think being blind would affect being able to fly capably or safely.

Like I said, there's not much to crash into in the sky. And the Wonderbolts mostly fly in formation, so that's not a big issue either.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
There's just the little problem of not being able to see the ground.
Yeah, being blind means not being able to gauge your altitude or what direction you're moving. RD's shown that she's prone to miscalculation even when she can see. Blinding her would just multiply the problems. Sure she could probably flutter around town safely enough, but Wonderbolt level flight isn't gonna happen.
I wouldn't even say that she can do that. As soon as her hooves leave the ground, she immediately loses all orientation and ability to navigate. Sure, she could try to stay low to the ground, but she can't tell when the ground slopes or when her altitude accidentally varies, so it's still dangerous just to do that.
Blind RD should have taken the bat as her pet.

The horn didn't bother me so much as the confusion over whether the picture was more cute or sexy.

I've decided to skip the gym and stay home to watch ponies. I'm that intrigued!

For once, I might be able to watch the episode live, depending on whether the internet here cooperates
Will be watching tonight :D Later I'll get my tabs open.

Except that the Wonderbolts usually fly in formation, so she just has to maintain her position relative to the others. Sure it takes practice, but it would take a lot practice even if she could see anyway.

Dude, how do you expect her to be able to tell where "relative to the others"
is?

Dude, why you gotta ninja me like that?

You can't hold position relative to things you can't see.
The fact is you can (there have been marching bands with blind members), the question is whether you can do that while flying acrobatics. I think it is possible with practice.

Holy
crap, why didn't anyone tell me upgrading to an HDTV would be such a visual feast?!

And just in time for tomorrow's new episode! I can see
everything.
Warning: Live without warning.
