One other thing I noticed is that the fake RD has RD's eye color. Either they have contacts or Twilight's capable of changing ponies' eye colors.

Worry not, Con! if the comments are to be believed then those are Cane Spiders, or Brown Hunters! Impressive, but effectively harmless. Their actually rather skittish, much preferring to run than attack. I'm not even sure they're venemous - wikipedia says they hunt by basically running down their prey and attacking it, so it's possible that they're completely harmless.

Not that that makes them NOT freaky as shit, but at least it won't kill you.
