Hey I used to do that. Unfortunately, it's frowned upon. Of course, there was one time recently that I had to run down the up escalator because I couldn't find any stairs. What kind of mall only has an up escalator, seriously?

Like if the CMC made a go-kart, SS and DT would probably say something like "hey, blank-flanks, pretty dorky Go-Kart", but wouldn't try to sabotage it or break it. Then the CMC would spout their comebacks and challenge DT and SS to make a better go-kart, wherewith such would happen, and they would race.

That's the way I see it. The worst DT's ever been was Ponyville Confidential, and she was an equal opportunity gossip. Babs went way overboard because of her insecurity.

I once had to run up the down escalator in a train station because I realized I'd forgotten something at home, and it would take much longer to go all the way down to take the up escalator. Except these were those LONG kinds of escalators, so even though I was only about a fifth of the way down It still took me a good while to run up. And then the ticket attendant gave me a funny look as I was leaving.

@Condo: Not a safe idea. Escalators are basically motorized moving stairs made out of steel teeth.

Mall cops are somehow inherently funny to me. I mean, they're in a position of authority that is utterly meaningless. They're not even worth my aimless defiance.

Guys, stop being paranoid about the staff, please. We got our stern warning a ways back, but we've been doing a fairly good job of policing ourselves since then. They're not "looking for an excuse to shut this shit down", they're just trying to keep things friendly and inviting around the fora. And isn't that what we all want, in the end?

I just don't understand why anyone would design a mall with only an up escalator. Shouldn't there be a down escalator too, or at least have stairs or something?

@ATC: That's really overstating it. The last warning was months ago, and we've been pretty much drama-free since then. It's not like they're all watching the thread and waiting for us to step out of line so they have an excuse to stomp it.

EDIT: What Kyler said. They've been totally cool with us after that one incident.

And yes, we need to dig up that questionnaire. Maybe update it, as like two of the questions were Ginger-specific.

Of course that's what we want. I'm sure that's what they want too. But the fact of the matter is, they have quite clearly stated that anymore trouble from the tread will see it shut down. And I'm not prepared to let them do that, hence why I'll caution against potential rule breaking. Give them no excuse.
