I mean, everything I've heard about Fallout: Equestria makes it sound darker and more relentlessly hopeless than Fallout itself, which I played and enjoyed very much, not least for its message of, if not exactly complete recovery, then persistence, and the attempt to make things better.

It may sound like this but it is not. It have optimistic happy end, and games allways have room for more bad stuff in continuations.
Or you may hear about side fics like Project Horizons, what are much darker and hopeless that original fic.

In headcanon FOE always was Alternate Uni, that way I can handle more stuff from it. But still I enjoy it as Fallout fan not MLPFIM fan.

Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
Actually they all can. The guns have a mouth trigger.

Technology change don't bother me. It's grimdark what implied to show up somewhere after show timeline, but for me there is no diverse, grimdark was always present in FOE setting. Just like world of Fallout always operated by 50s Science and was afternate universe even before implied time of Diverse.
And guns are designed for ponies to hold in mouth or be used in battle saddle. Unless artist or author is lazy.

Because ponies use mouth in same way we use hands.

Well, what way of firing would you use? The mouth is pretty much the only think ponies have that can do it.

Guns sort of bug me because it just seems they were included since they feel 'familiar' to the audience, and not to take the anatomy of an equine into consideration. If they, I dunno, strapped voice-activated magic wands to their sides, I probably wouldn't complain half as much.
Spooky.
That seems really impractical. Warzones tend to be loud, any voice command you'd try to give would be drowned out by the ambient noise.

Mouth guns could only really aimed in the direction the pony is facing, surely? Unless you invent something that reads brainwaves.
@Badwolf: True, but you'd have to swing your whole body around to aim at dudes behind you, no? Front-facing mouth guns would really be useful in dogfights, where you can recenter pretty quickly anyway.

That's no problem for ponies, unless they have heavy armor.

@GGP: Awesome avatar!
@Guns: Holding a gun in the mouth is a terrible idea. Why? Because of the recoil. There's a reason you use both hands while firing a pistol and make damn sure the butt of the rifle is pressed to your shoulder before pulling the trigger. It kicks. Hard. Holding a gun in your mouth, or having it strapped to your head, no matter if you're a horse or a human, will not only throw off your aim, it has a good chance of snapping your neck, killing you instantly, or at the very least paralyzing for the rest of your short life.
And if you were lucky and the gun actually hopped out of your mouth instead of taking your head with it, you almost certainly loose quite a few teeth, and get your yaw dislodged.
In short: Don't do that.
Und wenn du lange in einen Abgrund blickst, blickt der Abgrund auch in dich hinein.
Actually, in this case the guns are mounted to their bodies, and the trigger mechanism is in the mouth.
Now I'm imagining side-mounted mini-cannons.
You can't expect me to be fine.
I don't expect you to care.
That'll blow 'em back a distance.
Actually, in this case the guns are mounted to their bodies, and the trigger mechanism is in the mouth.
That works better, yes, but there's still a slight problem associated with basically firing from the hip. Your aim
sucks.
