Maybe Gondor Calls for Aid in the inevitable epic battle of the season finale?

Say, did anyone notice whether Trixie still did Third-Person Person in the episode?

I dunno, she seems to have eaten her share of humble pie.

She's the greatest humble pony of all time, and she wants everypony to know it! [lol]

[up][up][up]I mean like a rival in a very petty sense. Like a talent show or something. Sorta like how Ash's old rivals reappear in Pokemon.

Admitedly though, while Trixie shown redemption I still see her being able to act like a total Jerkass at times. After all even the mane six act like arrogant jerks on a frequent basis.

@Psi 001: I honestly don't think the ending leaves room for even that. Trixie doesn't seem at all eager to ever confront Twilight competitively again, and would rather move on with her own exploits.

Friendly showdown? They both show off their spells, and the audience decides who wins, making it not a contest of raw magical ability, but performance art?

Then again, [up] is a good point.

Well in fairness both Babs and Trixie had had a rough life. Granted that doesn't justify going dictator on a innocent town or bullying three children. I'l be back in around two hours and i want to know if I can post My Sombra/Amulet WMG to the WMG future stories or Setting (Don't know where Guesses concerning villains go) sub-pages.

[up][up][up]Now you're just making me contemplate A Day in the Limelight episode.tongue

Sorry, that episode did a surprisingly good job making Trixie endearing to me, considering I thought she was rather one note in her first appearance.

@Psi 001: I think we are still a couple a years away for a Fi M Gaiden series yet.tongue

It's fine though. I know many people thought that Trixie was entertaining espescially as a villain. Me, I still fell very apathetic towards her, it doesn't help that her brand of ham is, frankly a dime a dozen in this series.

I just thought of something. Trixie is good at firework spells, and there were fireworks at the gala. Think she was there helping out?
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.

Maybe it's because I want a sympathetic antagonist that doesn't turn good. I know it would be hard while still making the heroes more rootable but it would be nice to see some more greyness in the series, even if they have some outright friendly moments.

How did Zecora make water out of nowhere? HOW?
Maybe she just teleported the spilled water from the table back into the glass. Or drew water vapor out of the air.

How did such a powerful amulet wind up in a curio shop?
A bigger question, I think, is: Why does the owner even display the amulet if he thinks it’s far too dangerous to sell?

wild mass guessHe doesn’t actually care; “No, it’s far too dangerous” is just what he says to encourage potential buyers to fork over even more cash. wild mass guess

(leans into Easily Forgiven, but seems rather in character for Twilight)
I liked the fact that Twi was visibly pissed at Trixie, and actually had to think about it for a bit before saying she forgave her.

It wasn't Red Herring, it was the butterfly I tell you, the butterfly!
"What about Red Herring, ma'am?"
"I'm not sure. Is Red Herring a red herring? Or is it the fact that we're supposed to think Red Herring is a red herring that is actually the red herring?"
"Or perhaps the fact that you're supposed to think Red Herring isn't a red herring makes Red Herring a red herring after all."
"We're talking serious meta-herrings here."
That would be running a punchline into the ground.

[up][up]This seems to be a recurring plot with mysterious stores. Why have an item on the shelves just to say 'NO! MINE!'.

@Psi: Actually, some specialty shops like that have some items that they keep around just to contribute to the atmosphere and draw in customers. He probably just thought that amulet looked cool or something. Either that or he just liked it himself and intended to keep it as a decoration rather than sell it, but Trixie offered him enough to convince him to reconsider.

Looks to me like a head of wheat or barley or some other grain.

Lyra also was drinking from a haydrink in "Fall Weather Friends" and "Putting Your Hoof Down".

We may have found Lyra's answer to Derpy's muffins.
