I guess she was the one who would have the most ease working with her animals to escape. Plus she could use her animal friends to find Twilight (they didn't know she was staying at Zecora's at this point)

Maybe because she was the only one Trixie didn't have much memory of, as a Continuity Nod she wasn't in Boast Busters and she was the only one that hasn't confronted and been victimized by Trixie's magic in either episode.

I'm going with this. Trixie interacted with AJ, Pinkie, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash, so she'd notice their absence a lot quicker. She doesn't know Fluttershy well, and Fluttershy stays in the background most of the time anyway.

@ Sinclair. My Little Denarians does go a bit darker at times, but it's balanced by plenty of lighter stuff as well, overall I think it's the better of the two, thought the sequel to TDF is getting pretty damn good.

Indeed. I was put off by the character body count for whom I assumed were children cartoon characters, plus I didn't know half the Dresden Files characters mentioned. In the end, I've read the other one first.

That said, you chould at least read the little chort story the MLD is a sequal to Forever! it's just Pinkie randomly popping into Harry's house and being Pinkie.

I actually did that. In fact, I might have even done it first. Since I wasn't yet familiar with Pinkie Pie's antics, I was put off by the complete randomness.

Decent beginning, but it really started to drag in the middle, Fluttershy's attitude also brought this down, sort of like how pompous Rarity took down the otherwise superlative Sonic Rainboom.

To put it into pros and cons

The Yoda-esque sequence was brilliant but I had hoped they'd emulate "And that is why you fail" when I saw it
The punishment given to Pinkie Pie was good
How Twilight actually did the "aging" spell was pretty good
The very last second where Pinkie gets her mouth back was good to.

- Fluttershy was nothing but The Load

- The whole Trixie-opolis part was so one-note

- Everything felt very forced

I guess the writer of the Discord episodes can't always write something like that.

Also, if Alicorns are supposed to be the embodiment of all three pony tribes...then maybe it is possible for the other two to use it...unless Alicorn is just referring to the material in a Unicorn's horn.

Yeah, Fluttershy wasn't The Load. Highly reluctant, yeah, but she was hardly useless. She played an important role in bringing Twilight back, and she doubled as RD really well. The Load is a character who's completely useless and does nothing but impede everyone else. Fluttershy didn't go that far. She needed a push, but she eventually got it together.

And I don't think it was all that forced either; most of the stuff surrounding Trixie's actions can be attributed to the amuleet anyway.

She found the book in he first place, and for all her reluctance, she pulled out the escape mission without a hitch and got word back to Twilight. And she was part of Twilight's big sleight of hand presentation.

The fact that I got ninja'd only reinforces my point.
