Heh, the emergence edible boot thing still amuses me. The only SFW reason I can think of is so that if Rarity ever bets that she will eat her shoes, she has something edible available.

Rarity's Secret is definitely canon and a reason why she's reluctant to let Sweetie hold CMC sleepovers at her place

I mean, it was referenced in one of the official ads, and she clearly uses the Luster Dust and the edible boots and bridles for her wares under that label.

My fanon on Pony Nobility, is that below Celestia and Luna there are five high tier noble families in Equestria, Prince Blueblood of Canterlot, the Tzar of Stalliongrad/North (Earth Pony family (though was originally held by unicorns the family died during Nightmare Moon)), Shogun of the East (Pegasus Family), Baron of the West (Earth Pony Family) and Magister of the South (Unicorn Family). Below them are all sorts of minor nobles with varying amounts of land, some not even owning any, Canterlot is the most full of them.
