I know most people like it, but I hate it. Without going into too much detail, it's basically the opposite of what the show is. A whiny, bratty, overpowered Black Hole Sue gets her own way all the time while other female characters get their distinct personalities erased in favor of giving the Sue too much screentime. That's all I will say.

So I'm getting the impresssion that you guys like My Little Pony. Do you think any other cartoon aimed at youngsters may attain a similair level of popularity in the next few years? I'm talking about things like Care Bears or Strawberry Shortcake. Lord knows Sesame Street is mainstream enough as it is.

It probably depends on how they go about it. I think some 80's nostalgics fawn over 80's Care Bears though. I experimentally tried watching that as an adult once. But I just didn't...care for it.

I'm sure it could, but like Boobustuber said, it depends on how they go about it. MLP got it's following because its humor is universal and crosses age boundaries. I mean, if My Little Pony can get an enormous following, I think the Care Bears could, as long as it's handled correctly.

Yes part MLP succes was on the pony personalities. Any concept can be amazing in the right hands.

I tend to agree with LittleKuriboh; if they revived Care Bears, the fans from both shows would get into a huge fan war over who can care more.

Either that or they'd combine forces and the world would actually turn into a sugar bowl. But yeah, a caring war is far more likely.
