That would explain where she's been, she was busy healing up and getting her power back.

This Nightmare Night will be the first time Luna has raised the moon in a 1000 years.

The way she worded that comment made me think that either the show will have a different explanation or they just won't explain in and worry about the current plot.

That's good to know, that poor dear creature
Deserves her time in the sun (well, so to speak)
I hope to see her more often than just this one week
It's hard to see how she is; the ten seconds we had
When she changed back into Luna and was no longer "bad"
Gave us nothing to go on, we made theory and theory
And I don't know about you, but I'm rather weary
Of making stuff up and having nothing but fanon
Telling us what she's like, at last we'll have canon.
I hope she's not like her sister and stuff

Also, Luna's new hair is nice. It looks similar enough to her old hair not to be weird, and the stars are a nice touch.

I think it's funny that Princess Luna looks darker, because I was thinking that the other ponies were starting to look lighter. Well, I thought Rainbow Dash got paler in "Lesson Zero", but on another discussion forum, people were saying it was Fluttershy who looked pale. Or maybe the show is getting transferred at different contrast levels or something?

Also it seems funnier now that someone recognized a small figure with Luna's original colors flying by Cloudsdale in "The Return of Harmony Part 1".
