An evilcorp that, it should be noted, conducts aggressive large-scale military operations with a private army, has completely subjugated the city it's based in, annihilated a good sixth of its own city to get at a small cell of terrorists, and is using it as a base of operations to siphon the life force out of the world while constructing terrifying bioweapons that are basically evil incarnate.

I mean I don't even like FFVII that much, but I'm willing to go on the record saying calling it a big evilcorp is kind of like calling the USS Washington a big boat. It's technically true, but there really needs to be a sense of magnitude describing at least some capacity in which it's both bigger than big and boater than boat.

Like Seraphem said, when you storm the building there's an extended sequence of running up an obscenely long staircase for several minutes. Poor Barret would've killed a bitch for some Twilight magic.

So I actually hadn't stumbled onto that particular Mass Effect fic mentioned a bit ago (I was only aware of two, one of which is decent but updates really slowly, and the other of which is garbage).
