Which makes it such a shame that all he can say is "graaagh cryyystal miiine graaagh"

Today, I've got 2 (technically 3) human in equestria stories of a slightly different kind, and an unusual crossover...

ARTICLE 2 -in progress. A small human spaceship, upon testing an experimental warp drive, finds themselves near an earth like planet with half their systems fried. An attempt to warp back home causes the engines to blow, resulting in the ship crashing into the planet. Right into Equestria. The only survivor(just barely) is US Marine Shane T. Doran. The Princesses are doing their best to save him, going so far as to call in the elements to help, while at the same time keeping the entire thing on the down low. But his saving him worth the potential geopolitical ramifications that the revelation of sentient extraterrestrial life could have if news of his existence were to get out?

this story take an interesting direction with the whole HiE plot, definitely worth a read if you're into those kinds of stories.

Arrow 18 Mission Logs: Lone Ranger -in progress. The scientific community of Earth is thrown into disarray upon the discovery that the star Omega Centauri is orbiting not a black hole, but a small, earthlike planet. An expeditionary mission is quickly put together, but due to political shenanigans and budget cuts, it ends up leaving with only one man aboard. These are the mission logs of this one man and what he found.

This is now my favorite human in equestria story, I think. The best thing about it is it actually addresses the language barrier instead of not having one at all or using some kind of universal translator spell! Also, the fact that the whole story is basically told in journal entries and audio recordings is pretty neat.

Same story as above, but from Twilight's perspective, told through her diary entries and correspondences with Celestia and Luna.

and finally, on a totally different note...

The Third Generation -in progress. Rainbow Dash finds herself in a strange town where everybody seems to recognize her for some reason. She finally reaches out to a lavender unicorn for some assistance. Twilight is very confused by all this, and she has every right to be, because this Rainbow Dash is an earth pony who always dresses in style. Things get even more confusing when she discovers there's now two Pinkie Pies as well. Further investigation, with the help of Celestia and Luna, reveals that G3 was the result of Discord putting a village of ponies under a combo time stasis/dream/illusion spell thousands of years ago, a spell which has now broken. But that spell wasn't the only thing that was broken... Now G3 and G4 must team up to save all of Equestria!

I'm liking this one, even if I know nothing about G3. G3 ponies must learn how to operate in a not quite so idyllic utopia where the worst thing that can happen is missing a tea party. Oh, and Trixie gets redeemed. That was kinda neat too.
