I didn't know Pinkie had a personal servant. That doesn't seem like her. That would be something I'd expect from Rarity, actually.
You can't expect me to be fine.
I don't expect you to care.
The real reason Chrysalis was powerful enough to defeat Celestia and the reason Cadence looked so disheveled in the underground caves. You have three guesses, the first two don't count.

No heroes, no villains, only people.
congrats Droy.
Life is simple: it has no nontrivial normal subgroups.
Why'd her tail bulge out like that?

How would you even fit alcohol in your tail anyway?

Rarity hid a cake.

To be fair, she has the curly tail to support it.

Yeah, Rarity probably has a ton of gel in her tail or something. And a bottle of alcohol probably weighs more than a cake.
I saw the premiere. It was good, don't get me wrong, fantastic even, but does anyone else feel like it was just a bit rushed or too fast-paced?
I don't know what I'm doing. Shut up.
Not my impression, but I do think Sombra could do with a bit more oomph.

Nah, not really. The premiere of Season 2 was much more rushed, I think: Discord was a better villain than Sombra, but overall I liked The Crystal Empire much better than The Return of Harmony.

But they seem to
know where they are going, the ones who walk away from Omelas.
Well, at least you can't do much worse than the series premiere (Mare in the Moon/Elements of Harmony), as far as two-parters go.

Well, what I mean is that I feel as though the pacing was just a bit rushed, most noticeably when they meet up with Shining Armor. He's just suddenly...there, you know? It just could've gone a bit slower is all.

I found it to be excellently paced, honestly. By not spending time characterizing Sombra, they were able to get more character focus into what was really a character focused story, rather than an event driven one like the previous two-parters. The climax never came out of nowhere, either. It was clearly building the whole second episode, with Cadance's magic steadily fading, the crystal ponies slowly catching on despite attempts to keep them happy, and the escalating traps and defenses that Twilight encountered.
SA being there made perfect sense though, since he was with Cadence.

Yeah, it does mess with expectations a bit. It clearly seems like an attempt at fixing the problems that past two-parters have had, though. If you look at past two-parters, the villains get a lot of focus (even Chrysalis, she was just in disguise for most of it). That time is time that could have been spent with the characters and making sure that the climax isn't rushed.
Personally I loved Mare in the moon/Elements of Harmony. Still my favourite two parter.
Tealove is best pony.
