Even so, five pages isn't much. Even if the show had sucked, I'd have expected that many pages of nostalgia for G1 or something.

So.. in the Gameloft pony game theres a 5 panel comic... starts with a pony napping in the sun, clouds obscure the sun and upset her, Celestia zaps her with her horn and turns her and her friends into pegasi and they fly to clear the clouds...

I know its not Canon but you think Celestia created the different races in "image of herself" sorta...?

It's hard to say given the events of Hearths Warming Eve seem to imply that ponies were around before the princesses, unless they were off taking a nap somewhere while the world froze.

Given that the comic probably exists mainly to establish how non-pegasi can do that minigame, I doubt it. And like said, the races apparently predate her anyway.

Celestia could have been one of those hands off creators at first. Made em... then went away to see how they'd fare on their own... came back once she got bored?

I just don't think the show treats Celestia as a goddess who created the ponies. She isn't really powerful enough for that.

It's possible, I suppose. I still find it unlikely though; the show doesn't seem to portray her as being quite that powerful. Now if they had Discord level power...

Well she is a goddess just not powerful enough I guess.

Maybe there's something else in that world's Pantheon that created all the races... not just ponies. I suppose being pony centric when there are other intelligent beings in Equestria is kinda being short sighted of me.

I still don't really buy the whole "goddess" thing. I just don't think she's that transcendentally powerful.

Well, Hearth's Warming Eve established that regular unicorns could do that as well. Celestia is powerful, but I don't think it's been definitively established that moving the sun and moon requires a truly extreme amount of magic. More than one unicorn could do on their own, obviously, but not to a degree that puts her that far above everyone else. Not sure what to make of the immortality thing, though.

As far as the game's canon goes, it's kinda dubious. It's pretty obviously and alternate continuity, although stuff like the names are probably in the "canon unless the other official material contradicts it" category.

Celestia might have divinity power, but she's not Creator Class (can't talk too loud the land will shape itself around your words), she's a major Deity class (has power over a portion of nature).

Power-Levels wise, she'd be on roughly the same tier as a fully-powered-up Suwako or Kanako.

As far as power levels go, the term god or goddess is pretty much meaningless, because there's no consensus across cultures as to how powerful a god is. On one side of the scale there's the omnipotent, omniscient God, on the low end there's minor spirits that live in rocks and trees.

But Celestia does seem powerful enough that she could conceivably be worshiped as a god.

I'm pretty much certain she's not a Creator.

Celestia is probably powerful enough to qualify as a god, but I don't think she'd actually want to be worshiped like that. She already seems a bit put off by the amount of adoration she gets.

She canonically wants to be treated normally. I mean look how awkward she gets when Rarity shows her gratitude in Sweet and Elite.
