Okay, something that's been bugging me recently: Darn near everyone in the fandom refers to Applejack's hat as a Stetson, but I don't recall the word Stetson ever being used in the show (and a search of MLP wiki seems to support this). Does anyone know where this particular bit of fanon came from?

@Meta: Probably because it's more specific than "cowboy hat". I don't get it either, mainly because it doesn't really look like a stetson; a stetson wouldn't have that gap in the front.

All uses of "Stetson" are because of Doctor Who.
