I was just looking at the map of Equestria again, and... What the hell?◊ In AJ's flashback in Cutie Mark Chronicles, Ponyville was apparently visible from Manehattan and vise versa. And yet it's halfway across the country and there's two major cities AND MOUNTAIN RANGES between them!

Indeed. Especially since it's a flashback. Could just be sort of... whatsit, sorta cramming the memory together. Like in reality she saw the rainbow going in the right direction and figured "Shit, that's as good a guess as any to get outta here."
I mean she probably didn't swear because she was like 11 or something, but eh.

I'm trying very hard to remember that I was once sworn a blue streak at by a four year old, thank you. I'd prefer to imagine profanity doesn't come into common useage until about 14 or so.
