This little Pinkie stayed home. Then Applelight broke into the house and snuck up behind her...before cuddling her into oblivion.

What? :3

This little Pinkie had roast beef. If by "roast" you mean toasted, and by "beef" you mean hay fries.

And this little Pinkie had none, because she's all full of fudge, and that gives her a pudge so she can't budge.

And this little Pinkie went "Smile Smile Smile" all the way home.

What do you guys think the show's staff would think if they saw this forum? XD

What if Pinkie was cloned personality wise, like the ring of the nine dragons from Xiolion Showdown? Her joy, her gluttony etc?

Gluttony Pinkie...do want!

@Blissey: Okay, I wasn't sure if I had mentioned it to you or not.

@Van: Thanks. waii Weirdly enough, this isn't the first time I've gotten the "I don't care for shipping, but I enjoyed this" reaction. tongue

[up]That actually kinda got me thinking. What if there was an episode where each cast member got cloned, but the clone was like a "stereotypical" version of the character without depths or development? Like Rarity would just be a girly shopaholic obsessed with keeping up with the latest trends, Twilight would just be a straight up nerd, RD would be a Jerk Jock, Applejack would be a hillbilly, and Fluttershy would be an Extreme Doormat Shrinking Violet without her willingness to stick up for her friends. Basically what they would have been like if the show didn't have such good writers. It would be interesting to see the contrast.

[up][up] Meh, that's been done to death in my opinion.

[up][up]Didn't we kind of see that already in Hearth's Warming Eve? I mean the characters they played are essentially exaggerated versions of themselves that have been time displaced.

I was just thinking of Ember Island Players. I wonder if we'll ever have something like that in MLP.

Remember it? There are still people who draw it.

Just the other day someone uploaded a bunch of pictures of various Fallout Equestria characters in socks.
Fanfiction I hate.

I didn't know that was still going. I thought it died down last year.

@Mio: That's not quite what I mean. That's exaggerating the attributes of the characters as they appear in the show. I'm thinking more of "how would the general character concepts have been mishandled by lesser writers"? Like Rarity is basically "The fashion pony". In MLP:FIM we get a designer who runs her own business, whereas in a show with less depth we'd probably have gotten a Rich Bitch Valley Girl Shopaholic. Rainbow Dash is like the "sports" pony. Here we get someone who has a dream and actively works to achieve it, whereas she could have just been a Jerk Jock, etc. Basically reducing the characters to stereotypes and seeing how the canon characters react to them. HWE was more taking the existing characters and exaggerating existing traits, whereas this would be more stripping traits out until only an archetype is left.

[up]Pretty much every meme likely has somebody who's still utilizing it. It's a dead meme in the sense that it doesn't dominate the fandom anymore, but it's still out there.

Were the ponies in G3 actually like that?

@J Teeth: Eh, to be honest I don't see much difference between the two since the traits that were being exaggerated ultimately made them more archetypical. Though seeing the Mane Six's reaction to their archetypal selves would be interesting.

Though one could argue that we've already seen RD do this in Griffon A Brush Off.

Even, so I don't think it changed quite the same way. Like Princess Platinum wasn't really much of the type of character that I'm thinking of, and Applejack, Twilight, and Fluttershy didn't really get changed all that much.

Speaking of exaggerated characters, I don't like when people make jokes about AJ being inbred or beating her sister. Zebra hating (Bridle Gossip) and slave owning (Applebuck Season) at least are kind of funny because they could be seen in subtext, but the other ones are just stereotypical southern behavior that hasn't ever made sense for her to do.

I come from the south, and I'd just like to say that the Civil War is over down there, too.

[up]HI! I was wondering where you were!

I think there's really no harm in just joking about it as long as you remember that she's actually not like that.

And given that most people don't seem to get that Celestial isn't a tyrant, I wouldn't be surprised if that's how many perceive Applejack.

I know she's a good ruler, I just think it's funny to sometimes pretend that she's evil.
